Adding cut in timeline

Using a Mac with 2027 instead of the usual 2025 on Linux - I can no longer add a cut on a clip through my usual right-clicking on the primary track indicator on the playhead, I only get the regular full contextual menu for the whole timeline, not the small one with Add Cut in it. I know I can use the X shortcut to add a cut but I find that a lot slower (I’m dealing with a lot of clips). Is there a way to get the mini Contextual menu back in 2027?

This change has been introduced in Flame 2026.1 to make it possible to select a segment under the timeline positioner even when the segment is quite short.

If you want to preserve the new workflow, you can open the context menu by clicking on the positioner, but outside of the segment’s range (within the Timebar for example).

If you would rather go back to the previous behaviour, you can select Prioritise Positioner Focus instead of Prioritise Segment Selection in Preferences → User → Timeline, at the bottom of the Editing section on the left.

Thanks Fred!
