Honestly I thought I was the only one out there who uses Smoke hotkeys & vertical reels. But now I know I’m just walking in the shadow of giants!

Shots fired.

There’s the right way to do things… and then there’s smoke hotkeys and vertical reels…

@MikeV I could tell you you’re right but then we’d both be wrong.

Smoke hotkeys are cracked out though. I’ll give you that.

We have no intention of removing the Smoke Classic profile.

I am surprised. Particularly since the Flame of today so much more resembles the older versions of Smoke than the older versions of Flame.

Perfect! Because smoke hot keys are closely related to Avid hotkeys (and old FCP 7-since thats what the new Flame UI resembles) so since I’m still back and forth between the two I do appreciate keeping them! And of course if you want those Avid editors to switch to the Flame side then its good to keep them!

I want a recount. Smoke hotkeys rule!

So much love here on the forum for the good ol’ Smoke. Go to roll back myself to Smoke hotkeys sometime.

@fredwarren the data corresponds quite closely to the data I’ve captured over the years…

Seems as if the 25% of Smoke Hotkey users, the highest performing artists, quite closely follows traditional statistical models and a classic bell curve shape.

Smoke hotkeys are meant to copy an Axial linear editor, from what I’ve been told.
