Clean uninstall flame

Hi Guys.
Going to clean uninstall on my Mac. chatGPT telling me this. Is it all?
Will do clear the storage as well.

On macOS

  1. Uninstall the Application via Autodesk Uninstaller:
  • Navigate to /Applications/Autodesk.
  • Find the Autodesk Flame folder.
  • Inside, locate the uninstall script or tool that Autodesk provides for Flame and run it.
  1. Manually Remove Residual Files:
  • Delete the Autodesk Flame application from the /Applications folder.
  • Check and remove related files from the following locations:
    • ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk
    • ~/Library/Preferences/com.autodesk.flame.plist
    • ~/Library/Caches/com.autodesk.flame
    • /Library/Application Support/Autodesk
    • /Library/Preferences/com.autodesk.flame.plist
    • /usr/local/Autodesk
  1. Remove any Logs or Caches:
  • Search for any remaining files using Finder by searching for Autodesk or Flame in /Library and ~/Library.
  • Remove the Autodesk License Manager (if it’s not being used by other Autodesk products).
  1. Clear Temp Files:
  • Clean up any temp files related to Autodesk by checking /tmp or /var/folders.
  1. Restart Your Mac:
  • After removing the application and related files, it’s good practice to restart your computer to ensure everything is cleared properly.

Don’t ask chat GPT for this type of info :scream:

@PeterK - on linux we run /usr/local/bin/rmsoft and that permits you to kill all services and delete all files/folders.

On macOS I think you run /Applications/Autodesk/Uninstaller and that should kill everything.

Here is the official documentation.

Last time I tried using chatgpt with something Flame, their solution was to delete the part7.db. not a good first step.

I would instead use the following myself if on macOS. Depending on the needs, you can skip steps 5 to the end.
