I want to make two versions of the clip—one with English text, and one with French text.
Some text is created with the (old) Text TL FX on black background (new > colour source > Black > duration)
Most of the text will be created using the new Subtitling tool on two subtitle tracks in the Timeline.
Afterwards, the text and timecodes should be exported from Flame as *.sbv or *.srt files (?). These files can then be uploaded to YouTube via YouTube Studio.
Question:
Which versioning strategy would you propose?
.
Thank you!
PS:
The clip is made up of stills, each displayed for several seconds, with a total duration of
approximately 3–4 minutes, all created in Timeline.
I propose you duplicate the entire timeline, and name one “_English” at the end and the other one “_French”.
You can export SRT files from Flame, but it can only export what’s in the Subtitle track - the text that you created with a Text FX won’t be in the SRT.
And what if, for example, small changes need to be made to the image track? Should I make the changes on that track and then copy the modified version to the other timeline?
