Flame 2024 is here! ❤️

So… anybody seen this yet? New install 2024 on a new install of the latest supported Rocky. Everything was working fine, but then I installed NeatVideo, Sapphire, Logik Portal, etc. and when I go to relaunch Flame I get an error in the shell. It looks like this

I can definitely try re-installing, but I’m just curious if anyone else has seen this before.

thanks!
Naveen

try re-installing the DKU. It can’t hurt.

yup. i’ll give it a shot. Since this post, I fully uninstalled Flame, restarted, then re-installed and it still doesn’t work actually. In the Installer, everything looks like it works, but in the shell I noticed this little doozy:

I’ll do the DKU again next though and update the thread in case anyone else gets this.

So… no luck with that either… weird huh?
I’m not sure, but it’s starting to look an awful lot like I need to start all the way back at the beginning… like re-install Rocky… kind of a pain in the ass for sure, but I’m not sure what else to try… any other wild & crazy ideas?

Ok. Somebody smarter than me figured this out:

Anyone experience crashing anytime you try to manually move keyframes in the animation editor (Action or Resize)? And also in the ribbon as well?

SPECS: Mac Studio, M1 Ultra, 64GB, purchased end of 2022

I haven’t really spent much time in the beta this year:

Can anyone tell me, does flame 2024 still strip the camera metadata from exr sequences?

Really? I would say this is essential to retain in order to be a hub.

I’ve found 2024 to be pretty stable so far - the only crashes I’ve had, curiously, have been sorting a reel of shots by creation date - three times so far. Otherwise pretty solid.

Apologies if answered before , How does the support for previous GFX cards being dropped affect this version. Will it literally not work with an M6000 for example??

It would still work. Performance and stability could not be guaranteed though.
