Hello! Is anyone using Flow Studio or are you a part of a pipeline that uses it?

Any thoughts or recommendations?

We use Shotgun. The web UI is terrible, but the built in Flame Publishing is the useful.

Their naming for this stuff is very confusing.

ShotGun > ShotGrid > Flow Production Tracking

I will not defend the changes because, to be very honest, I couldn’t care less about them, but here’s a short history of why the changes were made:

  1. ShotGun was changed because of the reference to a firearm.
  2. ShotGrid was selected in its place because Autodesk already had a similar product named PlanGrid in the construction place.
  3. ShotGrid was changed to Flow Production Tracking to better identified that it is / will be part of the Flow platform.

I always associated Shotgun with this activity. It made more sense in a post production environment
