Slightly off topic. But for those of you who have Frame IO accounts - they changed their pricing and didn’t talk much about it. Several of us have been able to get a lot more storage for the same or much lower prices. Worth checking out.

The new plans no longer contain the archival feature, but about 5-10x the storage for the same price, depending on which plan you’re on.

You need to chat with support to get your plan migrated. It’s not self-service. But they’re pretty quick and good about it.

I went from 250GB to 3TB for the same price on our team. Someone else saved $1.3K/yr for the exact same functionality minus archival storage (which was so-so anyway).

Be careful. It’s not all roses. They also changed how you get to work with others. My old plan allowed “collaborators”. Now collaborators are just users with fewer permissions. And they will charge you $250 a year per collaborator. They have been super shady about informing people of this change until after they have been billed. I

Interesting. He mentioned it in passing and I wondered about that. But since we don’t use collaborators I didn’t dig in. Good call-out though.

No free lunches, not that we didn’t know that already.

And there’s another gotcha. On my plan I get 5 users/collaborators for $15/month each. If I add a 6th collaborator they switch all collaborators to $25/month. THAT REALLY PISSES ME OFF!

Oh man. I remember when Google wanted to buy them for $4 Billion. They declined and held out for the REAL money. Hahahaha…
