Games Corner

it’s one of my favorite games. I played the original on ps3. I tried to play the old one again on pc but the controls were too old. I also played re5, re6. Also bought re2 remake, re3 remake, re7 and re village. May be I can play village on iphone 14.
I can say that the re4 remake is perfect.

Nowadays I want to buy one of this. It has all arcade games and mechanical joysticks. And it’s below 150$. My favoriye games : Ghostn Goblins, Pang, Sunset riders. I was playing them in arcade centers when I was a kid.

Hell yes!

Back in the original Xbox days, I had a modded one and put so, so many roms on it. I had two custom joysticks made with the concave buttons and bat top levers that were in US 1980s arcades. It was great.

Same here, used to have a side hustle outfitting limos with an Xbox full of games and movies. Good times.

Tekken 8 is phenomenal. It looks amazing, it plays amazing. Online is fast. It improves on Tekken 7 in every way. I love it. If you like fighting games, or are even fighting-game-curious, Tekken 8 is a great entry point. It’s got a skill gradient that goes through the dam roof, but has never been easier to pick up and learn.

You can also make a pretty good mock-up of the Straw Hat Pirates.

I picked up tekken 8 last week. First real fighting game. I took the bandaid off and turned special moves off. I’m getting my ass kicked in ranked  .

So am I and I’ve played since Tekken 2. Hahaha. Which characters do you like? I’ve been playing Reina a ton. She’s got old Heihachi moves (he was my fave) and a bunch of new stuff. A real blast.

I’m also planning on getting back into King as the whole game seems like it was built to make King even more fun.

I hate King because I’m horrible at escaping grabs. I’m playing Hwoarang because I used to play him as a kid during the Tekken 3 days.

I think I’ll just leave this here…

I entered a local Tekken tournament. Here is a video of me losing to someone my son’s age as the crowd cheers:

It was a ton of fun.

I just beat Unicorn Overlord and think it’s a solid game. The art is gorgeous and the overall game is fun and reasonably chill for a strategy rpg (the last boss is kind of bullshit however).

My big issue is the story is dull: a prince has to conquer the kingdom that was taken from him. There’s no tension between any of the characters you can recruit, even if one of them killed another’s’ entire family. It’s a misstep in an otherwise well done game.

My only other complaint is they limit the really nice graphics to non-controllable battle sequences (battles are long enough as-is) that you’ll mostly end up skipping and story sequences.

It’s high on my list, and my friend is a voice in it, but I have not yet bought the game.

It sounds amazing, and I’m sure once I get it I’ll wonder why I didn’t get it earlier.

I am not a competitive gamer at all. I prefer games without any numbers on the screen: no lives, no time, no points, no distance, nothing…

My fav genre is First Person Puzzlers. Games like The Talos Principle, The Turing Test, The Witness and recently Viewfinder.

The Elden Ring DLC: Shadow of the Erdtree is out.

It is equal parts wonderful and punishing. Currently going through it with my cheesiest possible build and still getting regularly wrecked by the bosses (and normal enemies).

I can’t recommend it outright. If you love the main game you’ve almost certainly already jumped in, and other people should see if they like the base game before dropping $40 to get their bones pulverized by every boss.

@andy_dill introduced me to Death Stranding and it’s utterly phenomenal. Love the story, the characters, the gameplay…everything!

I was also compelled to play it thanks to Mr. @andy_dill

It is some weird ass shit and I did enjoy it until I took a short break and found it very hard to jump back in.

They have a second one in the works due next year:

It looks like you get a little more in the way of firepower beyond your own “home made” weapons.

I really enjoyed the Metal Gear Series
