Wanting to revive this thread if possible. I am looking to compare two audio tracks, and am able to do that this using the method in Resolve, but was having some difficulty replicating this in Flame.
I’ve tried with mono tracks on 1 and 2 and stereo tracks on tracks 1-2 and 3-4, but clicking the phase button doesn’t seem to do anything.
I’m not too familiar with how the Flame audio settings work, or if there is a master bus these audio tracks are sent to, but I just seem to hear the same audio overlaid on top, not silence, like the comparison method in Resolve.
This is how to set it up using stereo pairs. Notice that on the timeline, the tracks are 1-2 and 3-4. Consider this the input to the faders. At the top of the faders I have directed tracks 3-4 to output 1-2. With the phase flipped, they cancel each other out.
This second image shows how to do it with 2 mono tracks. You are almost there. Notice that I have set the pans to .5 (the numbers at the top of the faders) The plays both tracks equally on both outputs. Flipping the phase will cancel them out if they are identical.
