Anyone used the latest iPhone 12 pro lidar scan on a job yet?
Had a little play with one in the office.
Found that when using the high settings, the mesh was good but we could only captured a small area. At lower settings the quality was questionable but still better than all of my photogrammetry attempts.
I felt that it would be good for a small scene survey.
Barnes is so excited to use it on his next job.
i’m waiting for my ipad pro with lidar scanner to arrive - still a week away. Can’t wait to try it out alongside C4d…hoping it could be a huge help in creating a base mesh for further work on.
