Good morning friends,
Yesterday, @Sinan @allklier and I went to pay our respects at the grave of our dear friend, Ivar Beer. It’s something that I have wanted to do for years. We were met at the cemetery by Ivar’s brother, Sven, and their mother. We had such a beautiful time, exchanging stories and memories of Ivar. It meant so much to his mother to hear that we still talk about Ivar and think about him every day, keeping his memory alive. Thanks to Jan’s translations 
we were able to tell them how his crok matchboxes are used every day by Flame artists around the world. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. In my best attempt at German, I told them:
Wenn Logik eine Person wäre, wäre es Ivar gewesen.
If Logik was a person, it would have been Ivar.
When Ivar passed we did a Gofundme, and his family used the money to purchase his gravestone. Sven told us that the stonemason had a very hard time carving “Don’t worry” into the stone in Ivar’s signature font, but as you can see, they did it justice.
I want to thank everyone who continues to keep Ivar’s memory alive. Especially our good friend @julik who maintains the Logik Matchbook repository, and all of the angels who have helped him over the years to keep it going.
I happened to see Sven checking his phone, and my heart stopped. I thought I was seeing a ghost…
