Ever since reports have come in from MULTIPLE studios that I know that ADSK was starting to accuse valid-subscription users of overusing their subscription. I have since done a absolute hawkeye job of making damn sure that no license is ever overused by removing user profiles from macs and by assi…

@fredwarren @Slabrie If someone was to make a feature request that there could be the option (not default) to log out the license on Flame exit, would that be hard to implement? Asking for some Flame friends…

[image] AdamArcher: Or just have flame logout the license when you exit. I think that’s the crux. When they switched to login licenses instead of system licenses, the Flame UI wasn’t fully redesigned to account for that.

[image] AdamArcher: I know a whole lot of people hate them but I’ve always been a fan of license dongles. If we manage to carry keys around for cars and houses then why not software? Obviously no good for cloud instances though. Me too, huge dongle fan. Ive got many resolve dongles and I jus…

@andymilkis Would a licensing Q and A with someone from adsk licensing and compliance not be something great? I am sure many smaller shops and freelancers are feeling a bit freaked out by all of this as I am?

This could help some people to determine whether or not they will buy an on premises workstation on their next refresh, or work with a provider that can get them in to th…

What happens when a user signs into a AMI instance and forgets to sign out before they blow the AMI away?

Any proper implementation would time out the license lock no later than 24hrs without an application heartbeat ‘still using this license id’ All these corner cases have long been considered and solved in decades of license management. And most have come up with reasonable implementations, that make…
