Hey All- We’ve got a whole sequence of driving comps. They’ve been linearized before we got them- from S-Log (I believe). How should we be keying? My understanding is that the Master Keyer works best in Log? And keyer 3d works best in video space? I assume we convert to log and key? (Getting some v…

@PlaceYourBetts that is some setup you have there! Is that based on Mihrans video?

Obviously there is a matchbox that does the IBK for you but a while ago Erwan Leroy ( www.erwanleroy.com ) was kind enough to show me how it worked. I keep it exposed and use it like this. Several techniques blended into one here. I think it was @Mihran who showed the green channel extraction that us…

@PlaceYourBetts Logik live awaits! Would love to see a full breakdown of your process in your own words. I have quite a few blur screen coming up so I will try and use this technique. I will probably ha e questions of that’s ok?

Don’t forget you can upload setups here or upload setups to the Logik Portal.

The Logik Portal. Yes. [image] Logik Portal Python For anyone interested I just finished up this new script. It has a section to share and install python scripts and batch setups along with downloading all the latest Logik Matchboxes from the Logik Matchbox website. D…

Ah right, I’m still stuck on 2019 So can’t benefit from all this :frowning:

One thing I’ve discovered recently is the Master Keyer’s auto CC feature works better (or maybe easier, which is still better) if you feed it a fully saturated color, vs whatever green or blue you actually keyed, and once you have the chroma CC’d away, you can do all the fun mathy keys from that one…

In my experience the Master keyer works just as well in Aces as it does in Rec/Log. The IBK works better in Aces, and a good clean screen is essential for it to work ‘really’ well. The IBK has excellent spill suppression for really really tricky motion blue/hair etc.

Good video. Actually a good channel for me to geek out on. Yup from 26:00 he talks about this IBK technique. Balancing out the green screen etc. Excellent.
