Media Cache Location Issue

I’ve moved a project from the system I was remoting into to my local box (basically for wacom and bad preview reasons). I archived the project and restored it local, no probs. I cached the media locally of local media shares and have been working. I just tried to render a new version and got “Batch: Some render nodes were turned off due to insufficient space on the storage.” I thought I had set that all local, and two out of three are in fact set to local drives, however Media Cache is set to a remote drive on the previous system I have no access to here. I don’t see any way to change it and I don’t understand how i’ve been working with it set that way for a couple of days now. I was able to render this setup yesterday. It says Media Cache has 61.7 GB free, but of course it has no way of knowing that since it’s not connected to it. Honestly I’m a bit confused. This is Flame 2027 on a mac with MacOS 26.something recent.

I can’t answer how you have been working for two days, but I believe the only way to change the media cache is to create a new project with the path you want, then wiring the job into the new project.

What software version?

I moved it to a new project and am rendering so I can’t ask the app but I believe it’s 2027.0

Roll back to 2025?

@onlycarlyouknow when you restored the project archive, a dialog has been displayed allowing your to re-path the Media Cache location and since you did not changed it to a local storage, the location has probably been created on your system drive.I would be curious to know what was the location since most macOS projects will use a location in /Volumes/ and it should not be possible to create a folder in this location.

As @ytf stated, creating a new project and moving your content there should be the way to go.

Let us know.
