A memory issue has been reported on macOS 27 Golden Gate when using our various ML tools. The issue is being look at by our friends at Apple so for now do not update your Mac. We will keep you updated on when it will be appropriate to update.
Have there been any opportunities to test whether the issue is resolved with the update to macOS 27.2?
We had a look at the issue and sadly the latest release of macOS does not solve the issue.
Very odd because we have three systems on Golden Gate 27.2 and on two of them, the Machine Learning functions (TWML and Morph) work just fine. Only on one of the systems are we getting the PIPELINE: Timewarp2 [Result] had an error : Error [TGEng::CoreML: cannot load CoreML package] error. Yet AutoMatte works fine on all three systems. What gives?
Soooo…. Don’t buy a new Mac then? That’s where we’re at?
I’m on the same boat here. Got the m5 Ultra and running Golden Gate, Morph and TW ML not working. Hope a fix is coming soon!
Don’t worry, we feel your pain and we are actively working with Apple to get a resolution ASAP. We will update the thread after a solution have been validated in our lab.
