Multi-channel openClips created by write node (Bug or feature request?)

I’ve just noticed that when rendering a multi-channel EXR from batch and having Flame create an openClip, the XML doesn’t include all the channels nor is it then viewable from the media hub due to the fact that there’s more than RGBA with the EXR.

I can’t recall if this was working before or if it’s ever worked. Before I open either a support ticket or a feature request I wanted to check here to see if anyone had any input.

This is 2026.2 btw.

Shooting somewhat from the hip - what are your channels named? It might be looking for a specific channel name on the first channel to treat it like a clip.

Nope, there’s only 1 span mentioned in the XML…it would appear Flame simply ignoring the other channels completely.

Please open a ticket with our Support team.

So bug it is. Will do. Speaking of which @Slabrie … I can’t see any option on the support site to open a ticket. The AI wonder-kid also sends me nowhere. It was working a week ago or so.

From what I remember, you need to ask the AI bot to open a support ticket after the proposed online help topics do not answer your question.

From what I see in 2025.2 Update, the issue is also visible there.

That’s what I mean, the AI bot refuses to offer that option now…at least for me.

Ok no stress, I have found the issue in our enhancements tracking system to add support for Multi-Channel Open Clip from Write File node and I will add you on the ticket.
