this is quite good and it’s always great to see anything Gondry does. The people in reverse (with Margot Robbie in real time) is very clever but I don’t think this tops the Kylie Minogue video. That one is way more lively, shot on location which must have been absolute logistical nightmare, with so many funny narratives playing out in the background (love the woman throwing her boyfriends stuff into the street)

I had to re-watch the original after seeing the Chanel spot. I had a vague memory of it, but it would have been from a time before I worked in VFX. Absolutely incredible.
Youtube comments like this that get close and then completely miss, make me chuckle.
They actually shot this video in a single take, using a timed track around the set. There’s a making of video floating around somewhere, it’s fascinating to see how they got to this with minimal post-prod effects

I worked with Gondry on Green Hornet back in the day. I got along great with him. and we had a blast in the bay. He couldn’t stand my facility’s producer though, they fought all the time.
