probably a daft question but here goes…If i add an NVME raid card and SSDs internally on the Mac Pro, then cache video files onto this raid, rather than solely using the external Pegasus R8 raid…will this mean my Flame on mac will playback without having to render all the time?
Well, it depends on resolution/bit depth/fps of such clips. But, definitely will be faster.

I’ve been using an OWC 8TB Accelsior in my Mac Pro for the framestore. It works great, and is very fast.

i have been told to leave my request another month or so as i’ve just requested a load of other expenditure…but at least it wasn’t ruled out!
