I found this doc to be fascinating and illuminating. I recently watched Close Encounters for the first time since I was a kid, to amp me up for Disclosure Day.

I was amazed by many of the effects from 1977. Seeing the process humbles me. They move heavy gear and create shots from multiple exposures and optical elements physically combined. I just push pixels.

The fx part comes around 2/3 the way in.

I still love the fact that they filmed the cars approaching that camp and had dust in camera. The bit with Truffaut. So effective.
