Pixel Sorter/3D deform effect

hello fellow flamers! anyone has any tips to achieving a pixel sort type of effect or a 3d deform? don’t really want to bring the project to AE. thanks in advance!

…you could also try using noise as a displacement map, set the surface resolution to 1 and displace away…
