Rendering a rasterized title file with alpha from subtitle fx?

Is there a way to render out Subtitles layers (either full layer or individual title) as a rasterized image file with alpha or mov with alpha?

Or, is there a way to promote Subtitles timeline fx to Type timeline fx for more creative control and flexibility to render files?

The workflow on this particular show is Avid offline editorial → Flame conform/VFX → Baselight color/deliverables exports. I need to be able to edit/review the subtitles in Flame and then pass them on to the colorist to simply lay in like a traditional title file so he doesn’t have to be responsible for editing any subtitle placement or font/style properties.

EDIT to add: In this workflow, I inherit the original subtitles from the Avid offline via Subcap export as Avid text file. That imports very well into Flame. But I need to be able to edit them further before turning over to the colorist

Can’t you export the srt’s from Flame and import those in baselight? another option would be to add a black layer as your top layer.. make sure to set your HWAA and SWAA setting properly. But I’d opt for srt files..

I realize the intended workflow is for the subtitle file to ultimately wind up in the final finishing application- baselight in this case. But for this particular show the way the reviews happen it would be more ideal for me to be able to render title files that could be comped in baselight so that they are a more direct representation of exactly what was reviewed in the flame session.

I’ve also had some projects in the recent past where clients have used SubCap for titling purposes other than traditional subtitles. I’ve been able to ask the A.E.'s in those cases to change the titles into Avid Title Tool titles so that the text copy will translate into Text fx in Flame via AAF-- but it would be great to have the ability to inherit Subtitle files in Flame and convert them to the Type fx tool, or at least have the written text copied into a Type fx. Maybe that’s a feature request if it’s not currently possible??

I might just have to use the black-layer-under-white-fill export for now
