We are running Flame 2025.2.3 on Mac Studios on Sequoia.
We can’t see the on-screen controls on any of our Sapphire plugins. Is there a magic hotkey or setting somewhere we don’t know about to toggle them on/off or is this a bug?
sorry brother - no macos or sapphire but microsoft copilot says:
In Autodesk Flame, BorisFX OpenFX plugins should display on-screen controls when the effect is applied to a node in Batch or the Timeline FX editor. If the controls aren’t appearing, try these steps:
Select the OpenFX node in Batch or Timeline FX.
Enable the overlay by checking the effect parameters—some plugins require manual activation.
Adjust the viewer mode to ensure overlays are visible.
Check BorisFX documentation for plugin-specific settings, as some effects may have unique interaction methods.
This may be of limited help, since this is Linux not MacOS also 2026 and not 2025. Though on-screen controls in OFX plugins should be OS and version agnostic, since the plugin paints them directly on the surface.
In my quick test - on the Sapphire plugins, there are multiple pages of UI controls. On the last page there are toggles for the various on-screen controls. I can turn them on/off. They default to on for me. But wondering if for some reason they got turned off on your end?
We’re not seeing on screen widgets for Matchbox nodes that we know have them too.
I’ve looked through the hotkeys and can’t find anything we may have done to toggle them off and it is on two identical systems so would be a bit odd if two separate people somehow turned off the same thing. We’ve contacted support.
