Hello !
Is it possible to have a script to set primary tracks in multiple sequences that has a common layer?
for example: all my sequences have a rec 709 color management layer and when there are 100+ sequences its pretty time consuming to have to set primary tracks in every single one of them.
i generally need to do this while creating superless so a script would be very handy.
TIA
“Hey Claude, find the version and track that contains a single gap segment with a colour management timeline fx and set each sequence’s primary track to that track”
Also, why a track that does colour management?
Isn’t that just an export thing?
Also be wary of timelines (PySequence) that do not support the bit depth of what you are trying to achieve.
Also, you could make things so that this timeline colour_mgt was the top track, then you export everything as top track…
What is the Color Policy for the project?
I’ll tell you why. Rec709 graphics on top of acesCG timeline.
understood, but possibly not this use case scenario.
that scenario might require a colour_mgmt track from ACEScg to BT.1886 Rec.709 for the background plates and a super track which is already in 709 no?
the OP wants to set Primary to a color_mgmt track, which by the description is going to change every underlying track.
At least that’s what i read (not my strongest capability, i admit)
The details are missing, the use case is not defined, just a complaint and a request for a 30,000 foot view solution that will work in every case.
Thank goodness for MCPs…
