Sorry it was out of context. Wanted to share while I was on my phone. Here’s a link to their youtube video. I didn’t test it but thought it might be interesting.
Going to try it tomorrow local. The online version is still putting out white on black rather than black on white which is messing up vace.
So yeah, it worked, but the color stayed white on black no matter what I tried, so I ended up remapping it in Comfy to invert it.
I tested with the adv workflow example from their git. It worked with a few tweaks but the output had some issues with the fidelity of smaller details created in the background due to the size of model it was using. That being said it absolutely matched the motion of the spline animation… so maybe with other images/needs it could be totally fine. It was definitely fast for 80 frames in 1280.
To get things working better with my test image I modified another wan setup that works with the 14b model and added the inverted splines as a control video sans the wanvacestartframe node.
Worked well, but I was in the 14 minute range for the same 80 frames albeit more samples and better details.
This was on an a5000 RTX.

Oh for sure—rtx a5000 and added to the reply. If anything tests like these actually make me consider bigger cards. Or spinning up expensive instances with 96gigs of VRAM.

It would be hard to justify the purchase of a $11,000 gpu against a few hundred bucks for the process that you need.
It’s not like leasing a Bentley to drive to Gelsons for a croissant, more like building a tank to walk from the front door to the mailbox.
But that tank does give you bragging rights, no?

Using AI for scene elements does make sense. Is much less controversial and full frame GenAI.

In a weird twist, it may finally take the relentless pressure of our teenage daughters to chase themselves into depression over the need copy the influencers. Knowing that they’re completely fake we will have stretched the rubber band beyond the breaking point, where they find permission to just laugh out loud and be human again.
So maybe AI will finally solve some real world problems by making us confront the craziness that social has become.
