I’m not trying to be a dick. The picture quality is excellent and there’s no artifacting, but it appears the remote side is dropping frames. I’ve guessing with a lower resolution that probably doesn’t happen.
I haven’t done a slow mo capture to validate every frame, but I doubt it is dropping, likely just a cadence thing. The content in Flame is @24 but the screen capture is @60.

I agree what you just sent in slo-mo has no dropped frames, however frame 700 is the only frame in which the last digit only appears as a ghost for only one frame. The cadence seems consistent on the right but is slightly different and a bit more random on the left. It doesn’t convince me that there is not a dropped frame issue because I can’t think of any other way to get from the second screen shot to the third without dropping a frame. Mismatched cadence can’t explain that correction from a 2 frame difference.
close enough for me, and for free. I’ve not done a slowmo capture of any of the other softwares, Teradici, RGS, DCV, but in my “hand on, feel” opinion, this one is the best.
I think it looks pretty great as well and I’ll take your word for the “feel.” Are you interested in sharing? I heard through the grapevine a lot of people are looking for a HP remote alternative, myself included.

I have ONLY worked on the following combination
RockyLinux 9.7 Flame Host
Ubuntu 26.04 Desktop with Intel Graphics for the Client.
Those will probably be the only combinations for Linux that I care about since that is what I will run. And given the high performance, low cost of the client hardware I showed, it’s the only thing any rational person should choose also.
Long term plan would also be a macOS host/client, but I have no idea wether it is possible.
Zero interest in Mac. I’ll talk to my Admin guy later this week.
