Anyone else seeing these? I’m pulling verts on an Extended Bicubic, releasing a slider in a Mastergrade after dialing something in, switching between the axis and surface controls in a gmask tracer gmask, or even bringing up the prefs from inside Batch and then Flame will hang for about 5 seconds.
Anyone got any suggestions to make this go away other than “switch to linux?” I’ve already got my Autosave intervals at 15min.
Not sure on the how. But the critical piece of information might be - is this a Flame issue (as in the app freezing), is it something else on the Mac that thinks it’s more important, or is it some part of the hardware, primarily the tablet that’s contributing.
It’s tempting to blame Flame, but that shouldn’t be a foregone conclusion.
In terms of tablet, you could see if the freezes also happen with a mouse (I know, not fun, but insightful). If you have something Like XMeter intstalled, you could see if the freezes coincide with spikes in network or disk activity. Some background crap indexing something. Or LucidLink syncing a file.
No recipe. Just something to think about.
Mac per se is a Linux OS. There is no reason to believe it’s less suited (as Windows may be). But we tend to have a lot more crap cohabitating with Flame on a Mac than on our Linux boxes. Time to tell the room mates to keep it down.
