I was using the new auto-matte within gmask tracer, which is quite amazing, but you can’t scrub through/watch it down until you render, which makes it difficult to tweak. Also, I can’t seem to find a way to output just the matte - is this not possible? Am I doing something wrong?
Haven’t upgraded yet, but I think you can cut the input off and it will still output correctly. Just a wild guess since I haven’t used it yet.
By cut the input off, is that just a matter of removing the front from the node? If I do that, the automatte goes away.
In Gmask Tracer, add a matte selective (ctrl click surface-add matte selective) and you’ll be able to use the matte outside of the Gmask.
