Exporting a clip with alpha takes 100 times (not exaggerating) longer than a single channel clip, or even the same clip with alpha unselected. WriteFile and foreground export seem to work fine.
You mean exporting from the timeline as a APR4444?
I mean exporting anything with an alpha in any codec in the background. Deselect alpha and it works as expected.
What is the support ticket ID for this issue?
I have not reported it. I have been away from work for a bit. I also wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue. Since it works in foreground, it is not a job-killer.

I was able to replicate the issue and we will investigate the source of the problem. Please next time report any issue to our Support team ASAP so we can fix them in upcoming releases.
I like to start here because many times others will chime in with “working for me,” in which case I look for a local problem.

Of course but time is precious! Nothing prevents you to open a Support ticket while waiting for others to answer if they also have the issue.
Anyway, we were able to replicate the issue and you should be able to export with Alpha faster in an upcoming release, lucky you ;).
