They still exist? The most unprofessional jokey vendor I have ever worked with.
whats crazy to me is that you yave a full basically “turnkey” supported flame system with a BMD card as supported by adsk, on a supported OS and autodesk is saying “not our problem” …
You’re right. I was mistaken on that.
You can in setup select BMD for video and Core Audio for Sound. But when Flame starts it has an error ‘disabling audio because of keyword mismatch in config file’ - becuase that’s descriptive!!
It’s also documented here: Tech Article - Mixed Video/Audio
Yep, that’s what happens when you sit between the chairs, and nobody feels like taking responsibility for the customer experience on a Friday.
It may not technically be Autodesk’s problem. But as the app that pulls all these elements together, and as long as it’s a supported config, it shoudl be a case of ‘we own this one’. Alas….
But we don’t do turn-key systems anymore, so everyone is their own system integrator whether you love it or hate it. Non-billable time.
@marcwellington what is the ticket number?

I have Black Magic giving me an interesting response given their flagship Resolve system is Linux:
In regards to your message where you stated that there is a clicking and popping while any audio is playing out of any outputs on your DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G while it is Linux OS yet this same issue does not happen on the Windows side - since you have a dual boot system - possible related with PCIe latency or power management in Linux OS.
Try disabling the auto-suspend for the audio device in your audio server configuration as well as this DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G requires consistent bandwidth. High DPC latency, sometimes caused by USB controllers or motherboard settings, can cause pops.
Furthermore, for Linux systems, we suggest you refer to the Software Developers community forums for more info:

I have done all the things they have suggested. Only fix is to use an AJA card.
@marcwellington we recommend to position the BMD card on Slot 2. I know you have space challenges with other card but if you have some R+D time IWBN if you could try to replicate the issue. That would probably mean temporarily removing your RAID card and perform a test without production content on your storage.
I will give this a go once I have a moment when I can pull the machine again.
