I used balenaetcher for boot pendrive, bios is in uefi mode, but when I start rockylinux 9.3 from pendrive I get this error
I assume the second screenshot is where it just gets stuck?
- Is this the Autodesk ISO?
- Are you doing this on âunsupportedâ hardware (namely a non-Quadro type graphics card, like on a home machine)?
I donât remember exactly what the last few things on the screen were but have similarly gotten stuck at home. Depending on the answer to #2 you can try adding nomodeset
to the kernal boot options and see if it helps get you any further (it will either work or it wonât!)
On the initial boot menu where you get something like âAutodesk Flame Workstation (manual partitioning)â and some other choices, hit the e
key to edit before it times out and starts trying to continue to boot. Youâll wind up in a editor box of sorts, and one line starts with linuxefi
and wraps around on several lines with a bunch of options that ends with modprobe.blacklist=nouveau
â Use the cursor keys to get to the end of that line (itâs usually easier to go down a couple times to the last line and then cursor-left to get to the end of the desired line), add a space and the option nomodeset
to the end. Then press Control-X or hit F10 to boot and see if you get any different result.
Thanks for the tip, Iâll try, but Iâll also try to use ventoy to create the rockylinux pendrive, I believe that rufus is not doing the correct job in ISO recording, Iâve already checked the md5 hash and everything is fine
