Flame 101: how to clean up list of recent archives?

Flame 2022, Mac. I’ve located /opt/Autodesk/archive. If I manually delete that’ll remove it from the MediaHub list SAFELY? All final archives are on external drives, just trying to tidy up old jobs.

Hi Aaron,

The files in the archive directory are additional backups of the OTOC file that was used to restore archives from tapes ( back in the day :relaxed: ). In file archives, the header information is stored is the small file accompanying the SEG files. That is all you need to restore an archive. So to answer your question, the files in the archive folder are a “nice to have” back up or browsing tool but they are not needed for the file archives. You can delete them safely if you wish and they will disappear from the MediaHub list.

Thanks

Grant
