flame NDI is 16 channels out. OBS as is, only handles 2 channels.

PLOT THICKENS.
If you are experiencing any audio problems via NDI, you should know/check this. I just tested this with Streamlabs OBS and if anyone can try this with vanilla OBS (and it doesnât crash for you) then let us know.
If you are using the NewTek NDI Video Monitor and for some reason or other audio from Flame isnât making its way to wherever its trying to go to, try this. Go into Flame / Preferences / Audio / Tracks and change the Default âMonitor 16 Tracksâ to âMonitor Stereo Downmix.â For me, using Streamlabs OBS with the default set to âMonitor 16 Tracksâ does NOT pass audio all the way to Streamlabs OBS for âMonitor Stereo Downmixâ does pass audio all the way to Streamlabs OBS and I suspect itâd do the same for vanilla OBS.
@Brooks can you try this on the Mac side? I suspect its an audio metadata thingy and vanilla OBS and especially vanilla OBS on Mac have a different way of handling embedded audio over NDI whereas Windows handles it differently which could be why us Mac users and OBS have been frustrated to no end with getting Flame audio somewhere to OBS on Mac.
@andymilkis this could be the problem you were having as well.
@randy. Nope Iâve always been in mix down mode. And i did not get any audio from ndi to steam labs Mac. Or audio to obs on pc. Just checked, and the problem is still the same.
Well I got audio to Streamlabs Mac. I also setup an Audio Input Capture, set it to NDI. Did you try that?
@andymilkis Just in case the obvious needs saying but did you hit âstart virtual cameraâ in obs. I sometimes forget to do that. Also try setting it up the way you want, relaunch and then start virtual camera.
Hey John,
I wasnât trying to use OBS as a virtual camera for zoom, etc, so I didnât enable it.
