Flame 2026.2.2 Matchbox

I am working in Flame version 2026.2.2 and having a problem with the Machbox shaders for the first time, they are not visible in the node bin or in the search.

All of them are loaded via the default Matchbox node and are also functioning.

What could be the reason for this?

Have you installed any matchboxes recently? Similar thing happened to me and once I removed the most recently installed one and restarted the application, everything was back to normal.

The matchbox bins is populated by the folder location found inside the sysconfig.cfg located at /opt/Autodesk/cfg/.<product_version>/

There was a matchbox missing the .xml file and removing that one solved it as far as I remember.

Heya @Nick . This is a good question that pops up a lot. There’s just one matchbox shader you need to remove and it’s called tpo.cas. I think it was determined that it doesn’t have a corresponding .xml and so it causes all of the matchbox shaders to disappear from the bin. Removing that one fixes the bunch. Some have talked about adding the .xml but for now this is the fix.
