so the new fonts in projects thing. seems to be difficult to use. I go into adding a font to the project - it puts me in some weird tmp folder. so I navigate to the font directory. and then I can only add one font at a time. so every new font to be added it puts me in the tmp folder. then I recalled a project / batch the other day that had fonts stored in the original project and it was all messed up because I hadn’t put the right fonts in the right slots in the new project! seems a bit sever.
Is it not possible to have them centrally anymore then navigate and load?
If you just want to use fonts in your projects and not do anything fancy with them, then in 2026+ Flame looks at your workstation’s Fontbook, so whichever font you have installed will be seen by Flame. You shouldn’t have to add them one at a time; you should just be able to right click install the font outside of Flame
Project fonts are a special category of font that allows you to add a font on a one off basis and then that font will be replaced throughout the project when you replace it in the Preferences area. If you are not looking to replace fonts like that then you don’t need to use Project fonts. If you are looking to replace fonts like that then you do have to add the fonts one at a time to that project-based list.
Hope that makes sense and let me know if you still have questions.
