Going to do it this weekend. It’s time.
@cnoellert - I’m around if you need me brother
That was extremely interesting - connecting LOGIK-PROJEKT-LC(Laurence-Creative) to an LLM and creating deep customization together. It’s for reelz…

LOGIK-PROJEKT 2026.1.0 works with Flame 2026.1 on macOS 26 - Thanks @BenV
No prob, always glad to help and be the guinea pig for LOGIK-PROJEKT
Just had the tour of the latest and I love it. The little app to create jobs is wonderful for code luddites such as myself, and the stuff it unlocks inside of flame is outstanding.
@andy_dill - thankyou brother - there’s more to come
Just wanted to say a big thanks to Phil, spent a few hours with him going over Projekt and honestly, I’m still blown away. Can’t believe how generous he is with his time, doing all this for free… seriously unreal. His experience and insight are on another level, and I’ve come away with a much clearer direction and a ton more enthusiasm for the whole thing. Honestly, all you’ve got to do is tweak it to suit your setup and everything you need’s already sitting right there at your fingertips.
LOGIK-PROJEKT 2026.1 is fully compatible with Flame 2026.2.
The repository now has a branch called release-2026.2.0 which is functionally the same as 2026.1.0 but has small cosmetic changes (version number, modification dates, changelist notes)
There is a HELP file to aid you in updating your fork to release-2026.2.0
Time for me to finally join y’all in the 21st century…
We’re fully AWS, currently running a central project server for multiple flames as required which is wonderful for being able to both spin up and decommission actual flame instances. It appears that LOGIK-PROJEKT assumes the local flame is managing flame projects when trying to connect with wiretap
/opt/Autodesk/wiretap/tools/current/wiretap_create_node -h 127.0.0.1:IFFFS
Before I go much further I wanted to see if anyone had been down this road before…

If you are using a single centralized Project Server, why use Logic Project at all? Its strength is in co-ordinating disparate Workstations, not unified architecture.
It’s your code now.
Why not hard code the ip of your project server.
Happy to help if you need.
Also, the code is now very LLM friendly.
You can ask your favorite LLM.
Ping me if you need anything
@ALan Of course you are absolutely right. Having watched this evolve from the sidelines I suspect once implemented it will take the place of 90% of what our project server does now especially with all of the updates away from S+W over the last couple releases. The ‘codified’ approach to working with a diverse team of artists that includes flame AND everyone else treating everyone like a first-class citizen is fantastic.
@philm I’m 110% on board. You’ve done an excellent job at providing not only an amazing tool, but one that includes clean well documented code as part of the toolset. I asked only to see that I wasn’t re-inventing the wheel on this before jumping in. The Logik Live was an excellent intro and certainly enough context for me to finally download and bootstrap. The effort and generosity to the community is really above and beyond.
Really looking forward to some of the teased features as well, for example we run comfyui on dedicated ec2 instances on AWS in our VPC we can spin up and down as needed…

@toddnotplaying - Thanks for the praise brother.
It appears that you are being wise and taking advantage of everything that this unusual time in our evolution has to offer
It also appears that you’re truly exploiting infrastructure as a service, and most likely with some clever degree of persistence.
To that end a web -based postgresdb per logik-projekt might be quite useful, as well as a free drop in replacement for frameIO/shotgun.
You could probably expose this stuff to your clients (if you could suffer the torture) but more likely you will be able to use these kinds of tools internally.
I just finished a tagging/labelling → to → json tool which is a bit handy for talking to other bits of software, like databases and system management.
I’m still working on the comfy UI stuff but I don’t find it inspiring or rewarding since it’s basically IO and cleanup.
I am doing some (interesting to me at least) work on Infrastructure as Code and learning best practices for vertical / horizontal scaling and security.
I’m not quite ready to handle the potential number of questions, so I’m chipping away at it.
In the meantime - go for it - load your fork into your favorite IDE and let your favorite LLM discover and re-orient the things just for you.
Keep me updted on your adventures.
You can even do this at home on a laptop, and you’ll discover that you can also do this on a big network of 40 or 50 workstations or even more cloud instances.
Good luck.
Reach out if you want to chinwag about it.
If anyone has time:
When you get a second:
Can you give me your version of a list of the most broadly requested components of a VFX shot?
e.g.
chroma key composite
bg replacement
sky replacement
product enhancement
product replacement
cosmetic enhancement
performance enhancement
performance replacement
cgi integration
That sort of thing?
Not the tools used or the processes
Just a descriptive requirement
That’s pretty cool!
