@Quinn - blush!
Hello old friend.
I can’t wait to catch up.
Welcome home.
Drop me a line as soon as you are able.
@MLandon - I never heard from you brother!
I’ve had the honour of seeing this in action demonstrated by @philm and loved it! … As soon as I’ve got some room to ‘breathe’ I’d love to had a go at it! ![]()
@Ton - Thank you brother.
I appreciate you.
- This is well worth the demo. Lots of features out into the light and easy to adapt, elegant versioning and round trips. Will give this a go
Thank you mate lot of time and experience in this.
p
@pauloshea - Thanks for the support brother - let’s see if we can retrofit to 2024 today.
@drewd - thank you so much brother!
California to Australia to California openclip workflow validated…
Thank you A-Team for supporting the journey.
Exciting times ahead.
Thank You Phil! You did all the work. This has incredible scope. Very honoured to be apart of this project
@drewd - it’s great to be on the same team brother.
Is there going to be a plan to release this? or is it going to stay within a select gentlemen’s club?

@kily A favorite phrase of my grandmother when describing mendacious salespeople or politicians was that they were ‘all mouth and no trousers’.
I think of that phrase frequently when we’re doing zoom calls with strangers…
I think the toolset works.
The plan is to release it.
The plan is to not destabilize too many things.
I’d be delighted to show you.
ok, ok. It’s just to know if it will be an open project, like everything we usually see around here, or something more private. I don’t question anything
. It’s just to know. ![]()
100%.
Due to the fundamental positioning of Logik-projekt as a pipeline tool which simplifies Flame projekt setup, demystifies and implements open clips, generates consistent projekt structures both on shared storage and in Flame, sets up helpful color management policies and node bins, offers command line archiving to the masses, simplifies sysadmin Flame and shared storage backup procedures, and even creates scripts for other applications and round trips open clips, most notably Nuke…phew, what was I saying?
Oh right. Phil has created something for Flame Artists, by a Flame Artist, that is a truly thoughtful and considerate way of making our daily world a better place. Whether you work at a large multi-site facility or mostly on your own with occasional remote support, Logik-projekt provides access to world-class pipeline tools that were previously only available to those who could afford to spend a quarter million per year.
We’re excited. For sure. But we first need to validate some stuff, make sure that it all works and know how to solve the most common 25 problems like supported Flame versions, Linux and Mac, GitHub repos, Mac funky mount point challenges, Lucid Link funding and administration, user permissions and accounts, clearance for some test footage, putting together a Logik Live for demo purposes, coordinating about a dozen artists from LA to Oz with the tech chops to be early adopters and beta testers, supporting a few common NAS and knowing some basic authentication and account/group best practices, blah blah blah. It needs to be robust enough so that it does more good than harm when we give it away.
If you look at all the things that Flame Artists have done for the community in just the last 5 years or so… @julik and @ivar 's Logik Matchbox shaders, Mark’s Flamemark shaders, @MikeV 's Logik Portal, @talosh 's TimewarpML, and a bunch more I’m likely forgetting, this is one of those transformative moments.
@randy - thank you brother!
Yes - everything you said.
@Sinan - thank you so much for this morning brother.
You are a legend.
I’m so happy to participate in the progress that we made.
California → Norway → California openclip, color managed, real time workflow with compatible metadata only archives…
Very exciting stuff.
Awesome! I mean, I had worked with @finnjaeger with mirroring Synologies and OpenClips, but the framework here is going to make so many lives so much easier.
Local cache for interactive playback, but archive without any media,
Aaaaand the color management tools are the hidden gems underneath the hood.
Switch your colorspace for tracking without losing the context of your expected colors.
They. Just. Work.
@Sinan - thank you for the confirmation brother.
I think we are almost ready to do good things.
Your help and perspective is so valuable.
I appreciate you.
Ok I’ll be that guy. How much is this going to cost?
It will cost you your time to learn some things that you probably already know.
I’d be more than happy to show you.
Ping me any time.
It’ll be the same cost as Matchbox Shaders, Mike V’s Logik Portal, and TimewarpML.

I’m too intrigued to see and know what it is because of all the good comments
