Quick question about motion blur

Hi.
An ultra quick question:

We have two options for our next job. shoot in 25fps/90º or 50fps/180º . If I’m not wrong, I think they both have same motion blur.

Our decision is based on having more fps, without changing the motion blur look . (We want to shoot at 90º, but we want more fps). I think with 50/180, we would have it. I have test shots in olds projects, but now I am having a hard time locating and dusting off the backups.

thanks

Correct. The motion blur should feel similar.

360 / 90 * 25=100 effective shutter speed
360 / 180 * 50=100 effective shutter speed

I’m curious what platforms will play back at progressive 50?

Thanks!

It just for post. It will be converted to 25fps and we’ll add some mb in post.

We’ll create some 3D model by using AI :open_mouth:. The shots may be fast, so we think that more fps and less mb, in terms of information to generate better camera and model positioning, will be better.

All of the Drive to Survive on Netflix are delivered uhd 50fps, that’s not to say all the footage is 50 frames though!
