Running out of vram!

I have been having problems lately on a rather graphics heavy project where my Mac has been running out vram and crashing. I’ve adjusted Flames usage to grab 95% of the vram on the graphics card, but i have a feeling its right on the edge so was wondering if anyone has any solutions to such issues.

I’m running a MacPro 2019 with a 32gb Pro Vega II, and 224gb ram. Also running two monitors of sizes 3440x 1440 & 2560x1440.

I’m pretty sure you can’t use two separate gfx cards, so would it help to switch off one of these screens when things get flaky?
Are there any other options for Mac users to increase the graphics capabilities (other than a jump to linux!)

If you are using Motion Vector Tracking, that GPU crash is part of the design.

not on this job! I never seem to have much luck doing motion tracking.
just a ton of textures, 3d shapes and lights!

Sounds like you are running up against the platform’s limitations.
