Shadowcast output

Hi everyone. I’m comping a graphic in action that I’ve used a displacement map to extrude into a “3D” object. I’ve lit it and I’m using the shadow cast to drop a shadow onto the wall. I’m finding that I’m having a difficult time outputting the shadow pass from action outputs as it is there but doesn’t output the same as it is comped in the action. I’m doing this so I can comp it down the line because it needs a defocus. Unless there is some way to defocus in the action.

Add a Physical Defocus (it’s called something else, but it’s a new matchbox node for 2021) to the camera?

There’s gotta be a matchbox with dof you can add to the camera and it defocuses the screen.

How many lights are you hitting it with? Action shadows output per-light, might need to combine downstream?

try Stingray DOF matchbox for defocus. you can apply it to the camera
