What keyboard are you using with Flame on a Mac Studio? 🧨💻

Hey Flame fam! :waving_hand:

Quick question for the collective brain trust —

What kind of keyboard are you using with Autodesk Flame on a Mac Studio ?

I’m currently rocking a Mac Studio here in :france: (bonjour from France!), and I’m using an AZERTY keyboard. But I’m wondering…

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Do you have to use QWERTY with Flame for everything to make sense?

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Or are there some heroic AZERTY users out there slaying timelines and wrangling sparks without switching?

Also — any keyboard recommendations? Mechanical, magic, custom, RGB disco party ones? :light_bulb::keyboard:

I’d love to hear what works best for you in terms of layout, comfort, and not losing your mind during long comps

Merci beaucoup! :folded_hands:

Cheers from the land of croissants and Ctrl+Z,

:waving_hand: Hello @flame922

It would be interesting to hear from some other regions to hear how much international keyboards are in use and how this effects hotkey layouts  ( QWERTY, AZERTY, DVORAK and QWERTZ)

Hotkey placement can be an issue for left handed users.

I don’t have any strong requirements being quite boring as an english right hander.

The only thing for me is that I don’t like to use the mac keyboards. F-keys are so essential for Flame that i prefer having them prominent and slightly separated from the other keys. I also like a full keyboard with a number pad.

Yes agree and on my Mac Studio I love using this LogicKeyboard

QWERTY for me. Function keys must be separate from the main body. Definitely full-size keyboard with F13-15 (PrtSc-ScrLk-Pause) group and numeric keypad.
I prefer higher keys as well.

Also language/keyboard layout selection plays an important part to get the tilde working properly. I have at least three keyboard/language input sources:
Turkish - native language
English (US) - Flame layout
Norwegian/German - depending on work locale for non-standard characters when composing emails.

I like when the F keys are in separate groups of 4. Easier to find F4.

I’ve been trying to find one of those for MONTHS!!! Found a place that said they had it in stock - ordered it, a month later they said, “Oh, no, we don’t actually have that. Sorry!”
