2025 and 2024 on Linux

Hello hive!

Especially @randy

I have recently installed fresh 2025.2.1 on RL 9.3. Now, I have an ask to work on 2024 version… I’m scratching my head. Will 2024 work with RL 9.3? Also, I remeber the golden rule of install the latest version last.
Any thoughts?

Thank you!

Nope.

Thank you! I’d assume the the right way is to rollback to 8.7 install 2024 and then install 2025. Am I thinking right?

Actually at this point it would be smarter to do 8.10 but you do you.

When I upgrade I install a new hard drive and I keep the previous drive in the machine. If I need to use an older version I switch my boot drive and restart. I have 9.3, 8.7 and I think 7 something along with the appropriate flame versions. Theoretically you could do a fresh install of an older version without having to re-install 2025 again.
