2026 Shortcuts Missing

Hi.

Have just updated to 2026.2.1 from 2024 and have gone to make new user settings. I like to customise loads of buttons but the majority of the editable options are missing. Why aren’t they available to edit?

Set focus (track)

Previous / Next transitions
Mark in around selection

Drag Copy clip

Image window pointer select

All these keyboard shortcuts should be available. Keep in mind that the Keyboard Shortcuts Editor is context sensitive, so, for example, you need to be in the Timeline environment to have shortcuts like Mark In/Out Around Selection available in the list.

If they still do not appear and you haven’t started your customization you could try to reset the keyboard shortcuts associated to your profile in the Setup Application (in the User tab).

You could also check that the shortcuts exists on disk by looking at the content of /opt/Autodesk/presets/2026.2.1/shortcuts/. For example the Mark In/Out Around Selection shortcut is listed in the shortcuts.local.json file.

“Hi, I’d like to ask: In version 23, there’s a shortcut key—pressing Alt+Shift and double-clicking a node connects all the wires together. What has this changed to in version 26?”

This is a known issue on our side. As a workaround, you can try to use the Search widget to add nodes. It will create the connection by default.

What’s the shortcut for this?

control + shift (macOS)

In addition to what @eddiead mentioned, you can achieve the same using the search widget.

  1. Select the clip node
  2. Open the Search widget (Space + Tab or F12)
  3. Type the name of the node you want to add and click it in the list.

That is a great ‘new’ way of doing that! Thanks for sharing.
