Autosave Interruptions Are Breaking the Flow in Flame

One of the most frustrating things about working in Flame is Autosave. Flame is built around speed and fluidity, and when you’re fully focused and working at the pace that Flame enables, Autosave suddenly kicks in and freezes everything for a few seconds.

A few seconds may not sound like much, but when it happens repeatedly throughout the day, it constantly breaks my concentration and disrupts my workflow. One of Flame’s greatest strengths is the ability to stay creative and make quick decisions without friction, and these interruptions take me out of that flow every time.

I understand the importance of Autosave, but I wonder if there’s a way to optimize it so it doesn’t block the interface while saving.

Is this something that could be improved? Removing these interruptions would significantly improve the overall user experience and help artists stay focused and productive.

You can turn it off and save manually.

Personally, I’d be very wary of completely turning off auto save. Flame does crash from time to time, and auto save has saved me hours and hours. I don’t think users will naturally and reflexively manually save all the time in their day.

Here’s one thing to try: make a new library, with just your active clips and setups. Close the other libraries. This has for me been the easiest way to work around the long auto saves.

And delete as many batch iterations in your setups as possible.
