I very rarely use resolve and am an absolute rookie when it comes to the software.
I have just discovered that resolve interprets the CameraMedia differently than Flame and MediaInfo in my example. Do any of you have an idea why resolve loads it this way?
Could it be that blackmagic has no rights to prores formats?
This is something super duper ultra stupid from arri.
they add black apdding to the actual prores file for whatever crazy reason. (something prores specs something)
thats why the number is written in RED with a asterisk in the arri afro sheet.
Importing it as 4448 is actually correct, ahould get there with disableing the opengate resolution import option. the additional pixels are just black padding so you can ignore those. (and they will trip up your scaling and its super easy to en up with blanking issues if you keep 4480)
