If you ran sudo lsof -i -P | grep LISTEN | grep :7184 and nothing came up it means nothing on that port
run it with $PORT like previous post and it should show all ports. Then look for wiretapga in the left hand colomn.
You can change the port it uses in wiretapgateway.cfg in /opt/Autodesk/wiretapgateway/ if theres a problem or use -1 to use any port
then try run wiretap gateway from service manager. - I must say that the ethernet thing posted before solved my network issue, since I was using a thunderbolt dongle. I just remember playing with this port thing and in the myriad of tweaking I did it eventually worked. Not 100% on what exactly pushed it over the edge!
I’ve got the same issue here running OS14.1 - installed 2022 - granted full disk access to the program, backburner, service monitor, flame setup - and it still won’t work
it’s a fuckon - about to go on a shoot and wanted to have the software up and running - not to be - we’ve got to make this easier -
I’m considering getting a new macbook, but all this really puts me off.
Cam you downgrade the OS on a brand new macbook, to hopefully get round these issues?
Yes, you can. It’s a bit of a process. When I setup my current M1 Mac Studio I downgraded it from Ventura to Monterrey because that’s what some other stuff I had was still on.
You need to download the OS image (Google it), make a bootable USB media, disable the security settings in the BIOS so it will let you install a new image and then just run through the standard Mac OS install.
There may be some limitation on how far back you can go, and sometimes with brand new hardware, they may have things in the OS required to run. But you should be able to go as far back as what was current when that model first shipped. Often Apple ships more recent once the next version releases, which is not desirable for many of us, as all the plugins may not be supported yet.
