Might depend on what you are working on. 5.1 and/or Dolby Atmos have been definitely required for everything I’ve been working on for the past few years in both film and episodic. TVCs would be completely different of course.

Yeah I think for a while pre-pandemic I was still getting 5.1 mixes from the audio house but the agency requirements always just said stereo. Now I don’t even get the 5.1 mixes anymore.

I guess tiktok and instagram don’t have great surround sound capabilities.

Trust me, I was SO excited when I discovered this.

Today I slipped while going to turn off Show Viewing Settings and discovered the Hide Effects timeline view, which is apparently the first option in the viewing options drop down of the Player. A drop down I use every day and somehow never noticed.

It… could be helpful someday? I think?
