Keyboard issues

I know this is an old topic, but I cannot get the function keys or tilda key to work on my mac via PCOIP. If I launch Flame on my system locally, it’s fine, just while using PCOIP. I have the standard KU-0316 HP keyboard, I have enabled USB auto-forwarding.
Any suggestions?

This may not be entirely related but I’ve recently had issues with my keyboard not working at all through pcoip. the solution was to delete some .plsit files from the Mac Library/Preferences. In particular these three (see screenshot). I can’t work out if it’s just one or maybe two of them but I just delete or remove them to a temp folder and reboot. Seems to do the trick. Hopefully that might help.

I also meant to add that my keyboard locally was working too, just not through teradici

yep - same here, for at least the last two weeks.
through zoom, nomachine, teams, teamviewer, screen sharing and more.
keyboard works fine on the local end, then somewhere before it hits the remote workstation there is a translation to something else - almost like going from UTF-8 to UTF-16 and back or something…
or just repeating characters endlessly…
who would or could be doing something like that on a large scale…
perhaps it’s the service providers or the traffic enablers working on some new kind of compression system.
or maybe it’s sharks biting cables…

oh and this is on linux connecting to windows, macos and linux

In the PCoIP Client Application, under Connection, choose USB Devices. Check the box that says something something HID, then, in that other window, choose your keyboard and Wacom tablet for all keyboard hotkeys and pen pressure sensitivity.

The only option I have under USB devices, is Enable USB auto-forwarding.
HP Anyware PCoIP client vsn 24.07

Forgot to say, running on mac, controlling a linux box.

I don’t think you are following the instructions.

When you connect to your LInux box from your Mac, in the PCoIP Software Client Application, look at the top of the screen. Under Connection, if you have USB devices connected to your Mac, there will be a USB Devices option under the Connection menu.

Choose your keyboard and Wacom there for all your hotkeys to work and pen pressure sensitivity with Wacom Intuos Pro tablets.

Hi Randy, sorry for being a bit thick here, I don’t get any options under the connection box at all, the only options I get are edit, manage desktops, delete.

The only menu item I get at the top of my screen is PCoIPClient

After you’ve connected to your Linux box?

I’ll checked when I’m home.

Aha! got it, however, everything is showing as unauthorised. I cannot change them.

I give up! do have another solution which should work, but that’s for tomorrow.

So, it appears it was the keyboard I was using, switched to an apple one, all my Fctn keys plus tilda are now working!
