Hi all! I’ve got a spankin new M3 Ultra Studio that I’m kicking around getting setup for Flame. My helpful friends in our engineering department have procured an external Amulet Hotkey DXT-H4 thingy for, through which I’m Teragucci’ing to the Mac from the same Wyse zero client I use at home to drive my z840. It’s up and running, but I’m unable to use the One True Smoke Classic hotkey shortcuts for Mark In and Mark Out.
I’m using an old HP keyboard, and in A/B testing between the 2 machines using the Flame Hotkey Editor, the keyboard sends right_alt and right_ctrl to the z840, but just sends alt and ctrl to the Mac. Is there a Mac preference I’m missing somewhere? Do I need a Mac keyboard?
If I remap mark in to the brackets like a filthy heathen it works fine, but I don’t want to live like that. Thanks in advance!
Me thinks that could be tricky. The trouble with the Amulet Hotkey DXT-H4 thingy is that the Mac has absolutely zero idea that you and your fancy HP keyboard exists.
Software Teragucci, as you know, deals with all of this stuff under the hood and can translate via Kext kernels or whatever the heck those things are called.
So, I suspect the problem is on the Mac side.
The external PCoIP card thing was EOL a few years back for similar reasons.
You guys can’t run the Graphics Agent on the Mac and control via Software Client?
Yeah nothing’s off the table. This is just me kicking the tires on hardware we already had lying around and trying to avoid buying a dozen Mac Minis to run the Teradici client on.
Do you know if Elements work with Mac Software Teradici btw?
