Hey … I ended up getting the ASUS, pretty happy with it. Works as advertised, looks great.
One note: USB-C connection is not supported for Intel MacBook Pro’s (which is what I have) so I’m connecting via HDMI. Tried different cables as well as changing display port setting to DisplayPort1.2 … nothing worked.
@finnjaeger It’s 2025 and new monitor time. What are the current recommendations?
so many great options at many pricepoints.
My personal go to right now is dual 32” UHD IPS-Black + 32” QD-Oled broadcast monitor
Works fine with no scaling , works great for remote sessions via parsec or teraduci etc.
I like dual screen not for dual screen flame but rather because I always have so many other things open, i think flames dual screen UI is completely horrible.
I went away from ultrawides mostly due to all the compatibility issues when doing things like screensharing in a zoom call but worst is dealing with different screen resolutions across the studio when people are disling in from home etc / so I am normalizing all displays to UHD 16:9
added venefit is that you can run broadcast signals to it.
you see its not just pick a monitor but pick one that works for your usecase.
My current list of good monitors to reccomend:
If you are on a mac - BenQ PD 3225U
If on linux - Eizo EV3240X or Dell U3223QE
(there are of course more expensive options like the eizo CG series, i dont need them for GUI but if you are on linux and want a accurate GUI display, the out 4K-DCI Eizo CG 2 Sony HX310 / Eizo CG1
you dont need HDR:
- Flanders XMP310
- Asus 32
somehow the mobile site is very broken of this forum , the cursor deletes random stuff so sorry that the last paragraph is nonsense, cant even edit it.
Here is the broadcast tier list:
HDR
HX3110
HX310/Eizo CG1
SDR
Flanders XMP310

Hi Finn,
Do you rate the ASUS ProArt PA32UCDM 4k QD OLED as a good broadcast monitor to replace a Sony PVM?
There’s a new one as well which looks interesting
ASUS ProArt Display OLED PA27USD
I had a one and sent it back, it had a lot of edge fringing and for that reason it doesn’t touch the Sony PVM Oled
for gui yes, QD-oled is not the thing to go , for broadcast its very good.
Sony PVMS are SUPER old, the new PVMs SUCK (x2400) .
This is a very timely post. Thanks, finn!!
Indeed this is a REALLY timely post. Finn recommended the BenQ to me two weeks ago and I’m over the moon with how good a monitor it is. I just got one though.
Win with Finn.
That new ProArt PA27USD above looks like a nice option for a broadcast monitor…SDI in!
yes, its just too small ![]()
I got a BenQ, too, and love it. For those of you still shopping, someone here tipped me off to their refurbished site, which can be a goldmine:
Let us gather to lament the passing of the 32” Apple XDR. The prettiest monitor in the studio.
