Eric from VFX Tools here with a new OFX plugin for you to try out. It’s similar to Nuke’s Curve Tool, where it analyzes and applies the flickering lighting from one shot and applies to another.
Here’s a Linux build for you guys to try, and eventually I’ll do a Mac build.
(Make sure the 2 inputs have the same frame rates.)
To second what @ALan mentioned, the curve tool has a lot of uses. Deviation is one, cropping is another—there are a few modes. What makes the addition of this ofx important over say simple flicker removal or whatnot is exposing whatever data is requested in animation channels to drive other parameters—not really using the node to perform those tasks itself. Does that make sense? And sorry I didn’t chime in earlier on my own request… this week has been overloaded.
It actually works, but Chrome (or your browser) is probably blocking it because it is deemed insecure. You can right-click on your download button and tell the browser to just download the insecure file.
This is very cool thanks a lot ! I think it just miss the ability to get those values on a slider or a curve. We could then link the result of the OFX to a color channel or any curve. Otherwise, it’s very cool.
